Chapter 13~The Dark Secrets

Hello, reader! I was playing around with the tools on the bar thing and it accidently came up with white bars around the text! :') So I guess you'll have to read this one with white bars... sorry about that! :D ~Kallik

I opened my eyes, seeing water nymphs frown and douse the fire. the sky was a dark orange, and the fires were almost out. I sat up, wondering how I survived the bomb arrow attack. My clothes were smoking and my skin was powdered with soot. I saw Celestia and Sara to my left and... oh no. I scanned the scarred field and saw Annabeth laying on a tree, with a glowing green shoulder.
I got up and ran to Annabeth. My sister was deathly pale, which scared the gods out of me. Celestia and the ichor-covered Sara sat up, groaning. Celestia's green greek dress looked like it was originally black. This time, I actually saw what she was actually like. Her dark brown hair was in a tight bun and I noticed there was a glowing emerald necklace in Celestia's hand. She handed it to me.
"Take it. Make a wish." Celestia said calmly. She winced, holding a charred area in her dress. "You only get one wish."
I stared at all the campers dying, then at the only Annabeth. "I'm sorry, sis." I whispered. Then I closed my eyes. "I wish the campers would get healed, and the field will flourish."
The black grass began to turn to a healthy green, becoming dotted with dandelions.  The campers' wounds healed quickly, with color returning to their faces. The only pale camper was Annabeth.
"CHILDREN OF APOLLO, COME HERE!" Sara yelled. Some of the campers ran to us. "Do you know how to heal her?" Sara pointed to Annabeth, and the campers began whispering and murmuring.
A boy camper, probably 11, stepped forward. "Hello! My name is Alec, at your service!" The boy raised his hand over Annabeth. He frowned.
   "Well?" I asked impatiently.
"She is..." Alec pouted, as if trying to process what he was getting. "She isn't alive, or dead. It's as if Hades was trying to block her soul from the Underworld. Quite strange."
Celestia cleared her throat. "This Annabeth," Her blue eyes turned to me. "She's a daughter of Hades, isn't she? The last thing the TCFD needs is another child from the Big Three! This could be an omen!"
Sara's eyes darted back and forth.
"And you, Sara! You're not a demigod at all! More like a demititan!" I could hear Celestia's rapid breathing. Alec blinked.
"What?" Sara asked, genuinely confused. "There's no such thing!"
"Can we just skip to the point where I heal this girl?" Alec complained.
Celestia ignored him. "Sara isn't a child of Athena. She's a child of Oceanus, one of the Titans!"
Sara burst into tears. Her seashell jewelry glowed. "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you guys! I just..." She wiped a tear from her cheek. "I favored Poseidon. I wish I was smart as Athena! I wanted to make warm fires nicely like Hestia! I hate being a daughter of a titan!"
Alec groaned and began healing Annabeth.
For once, I felt pity for Sara. "You know, you could pretend to be a daughter of Poseidon."
Sara began weeping. She buried her face in her hands. "Oceanus is a son of Gaea and Uranus. That means Gaea is my grandmother."
Me, Celestia and Alec paused awkwardly.
"And I can't hide from Gaea, or fight her!"
I played with my thumbs nervously.
"War is beginning to happen now, and the commander is Gaea, meaning we have to fight the earth itself." Sara finally said, and winced as if it caused her pain.

  1. MORE! I love it when Sara admitted she was a Demititan. That sounds soooo kool!

  2. Well, a demititan doesn't really exist in Greek Mythology... nor does a daughter of an Oracle... I just decided to make those up 'cause I thought that would be cool.
